Industry Standards-Based Integration

From an ease-of-configuration perspective, no form of integration is more advanced than LearnMode, the patented point-and-click integration technology that links ImageNow content and documents to the screens of any business application.

But ImageNow also provides a toolbox packed with powerful industry standards-based integration tools for organisations that need to take application integration and interoperability to a deeper level:

Scripting

ImageNow iScript is an ECMA 262-compliant scripting language based on standard JavaScript constructs. It includes function calls that provide access to specific ImageNow features, COM automation, XML parsing and ODBC connectivity, making it easy for your technical staff to automate tasks in a familiar development environment.

Web Services

ImageNow is built from the ground up to take advantage of advanced web services capabilities for both inbound and outbound SOAP-XML messaging — the leading edge of today’s open industry standards and a building block of service-oriented architecture (SOA).

Available Perceptive Software products form a middle tier within the ImageNow architecture, using XML messages to make selected ImageNow functionality accessible to third-party applications or initiating interaction with external applications and platforms via web services.

These products are compatible with applications running on any OS and written in any language or framework that supplies a SOAP toolkit, such as C, C++, C#, Java, Perl, Python, JavaScript and .NET. In addition, they’re compatible with third-party integration engines and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) platforms such as TIBCO, Oracle BPEL Process Manager, WebSphere ESB, PeopleSoft's Integration Broker and more.

URL Integration

With our platform’s URL integration, a standard web browser can be invoked by an external application to locate and display images stored in the document repository. Working with business applications that support the dynamic creation of URLs, WebNow enables users to instantly retrieve and display documents in the form of Views, relevant workflow queues, Projects, Tasks, and ERM reports. The URL API also facilitates the capture of documents via the browser-based client, WebNow, allowing index values to be automatically prepopulated from your host application.
