Perceptive Software believes in supporting the eclectic mix of causes, philanthropies and programs to which our employees feel a strong connection. This support is expressed in numerous ways including financial donations, in-kind contributions and time off for volunteer opportunities. It is a key part of our corporate philosophy to actively give back to our local and global communities.

Community Outreach

American Red Cross

Perceptive Software partners with the American Red Cross multiple times each year to host company blood drives. Visit www.givelife.org to learn more about the American Red Cross and its blood drive program.

Cells for Cells

Cells for Cells is a mobile phone recycling program that benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, raising money for families battling cancer. Perceptive Software partners will Cells for Cells by donating broken and outdated mobile devices on a quarterly basis. The company has been a Cells for Cells partner since 2006.

Habitat for Humanity

A group of Perceptive Software volunteers come together annually to take part in a Habitat for Humanity project. Through volunteer labor and tax-deductible donations, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner families.

Harvesters

Perceptive Software hosts its annual Harvesters campaign each November. Employees engage in competitions among the floors to see who can collect the most donations for the food bank. In 2009, employees donated more than $21,800 through the company's first virtual food drive, providing more than 109,000 meals for those in need. With the company's 100 percent match, Perceptive Software funded more than 218,000 meals through it's 2009 campaign.

Run for Mercy

This annual 5k and 10k run benefits Oceans of Mercy, a Shawnee-based nonprofit created to provide hope, life and love to orphans and vulnerable children affected by HIV/AIDS in South Africa. Perceptive Software has been a supporter of the Run for Mercy since 2005. Learn more about our involvement with Run for Mercy.

Treads & Threads

Perceptive Software is a regular supporter of Treads & Threads, an annual benefit for the University of Kansas Hospital. In just nine years, Treads & Threads has raised $4.7 million to enhance and expand cancer care for patients in the community.
